Beginning Lead Stained Glass

with Bevel Clusters

Examples of some of the Projects you can make.

Beginning foil stained glass is a prerequisite.

This rich art form of lead with glass dates back to the medieval times. It is the process of cutting glass and laying the pieces between lead came. This technique gives your art panel the strong lines, gentle curves, and a rich look. This class will build on the basics of glass cutting, fitting and assembling learned in Beginning Foil.

You will complete about a 14 x 14 inch panel, ready for hanging.

BEVEL CLUSTERS bring in a warmth and beauty with clear glass.  Bevels are pieces of glass with angles polished into the glass.  When the sun hit it they place prisms on the walls.  Majestic!

Our class will teach you how to select the bevel, prepare your pattern for the bevel, cut glass and lead each piece.

5 weeks.  Tuition is $135 and includes the use of all tools and supplies. Bevels and Glass are additional and typically $35 - $50.

(NOTE:  it is best to select the bevel cluster before the class starts!  Not all Bevel Clusters are in stock)

This is only at the Venice Store.  To register call 310-313-6826.
