Advanced Foil Stained Glass
Five week course in 2 blocks,
2 1/2 hours per week
Block 1: Wed., Jan 10, 17, 24
Block 2: Wed., Mar 14, 21
You'll be required to work on your project in between the two
blocks to have it foiled and ready to solder. You can work on it at home
or in Tuesday's Open Workshop (Workshops are included in the class price).
Advanced Foil Stained Glass refreshes the
basic techniques learned in other beginning courses and builds advance skills in
cutting, foiling and soldering. We also teach you how to
make your window structurally sound, no matter what size and
installation into an existing window.You
can create your own design or select a design from one of the many
pattern books for sale. The pattern should have at least 50
pieces and no more than 150 pieces of glass. Please try to
have the pattern ready to build before the first
class.
Course is five sessions. Three weeks in
a row. A month off to work on your project. Then two
more weeks (once a
week) to learn about the finishing stages.
The class is more instructional than the
beginner's course. Most of the project will be completed
as be homework to be done at home
or in Open Workshops - already included in class
price!
Tuition is $180 for 5 week
course, includes the use of tools and materials.
Glass is additional.
(Beginning Foil is a
prerequisite)
